"Kaanta laga" fame Shefali Jariwala passes away at 42; Cardiac arrest suspected
Amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan, Israel has updated its travel advisory, urging its nationals to “leave immediately” if they are currently in the Kashmir region. This revision follows a series of military actions earlier this week, where the Indian military carried out strikes on terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Pakistan’s Punjab province. These operations were in retaliation for a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which resulted in 26 fatalities.
In response to these actions, the Pakistan army launched intense artillery and mortar shelling on villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Israeli Foreign Ministry’s updated advisory calls on Israelis to avoid traveling to the Jammu and Kashmir region due to the escalating conflict, with the exception of Ladakh, which remains deemed relatively safe for now. The Ministry further urged Israelis in Kashmir to follow local security instructions and leave the area immediately.
This warning aligns with the travel advisories already in place from Israel’s National Security Council, emphasizing the need for caution in the region. Israel’s actions reflect the increasing concerns over safety as military clashes continue to escalate along the border. The situation remains fluid, with the Israeli government expected to continue monitoring the developments closely.
